KKR vs SRH Final IPL Match: Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets to secure their third IPL title.

The Kolkata Knight Riders secured their third Indian Premier League title with a dominant eight-wicket win over the Sunrisers Hyderabad in a one-sided final held in Chennai on Sunday. Choosing to bat first, SRH got off to a disastrous start, losing their top batsmen, Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head, with only six runs on the board.

Head, in particular, was dismissed for a first-ball duck by a stunning outswinger. SRH was eventually bowled out for a meager 113 runs. KKR effortlessly chased down the target in just 10.3 overs, losing only two wickets.

Lowest Total in an IPL Final:

SRH set a new record for the lowest total in an IPL final, breaking the previous record held by Chennai Super Kings. Other low-scoring IPL finals include:

* 128/6 by RPS vs MI in Hyderabad 2017
* 129/8 by MI vs RPS in Hyderabad 2017

Individual Scoring Feats:

This was the first time in IPL final history that no player from a team scored at least 30 runs across 33 innings. SRH’s highest scorer was captain Pat Cummins with 24 runs off 19 balls.

KKR’s Third IPL Trophy:

Kolkata Knight Riders claimed their third IPL title, having previously won in 2012 and 2014.

Record Powerplay Score:

KKR’s powerplay score of 72/1 set a new record for the highest powerplay score in IPL finals history, surpassing the Gujarat Titans’ 62/0 against CSK in Ahmedabad last year.
