Nepal Vs. USA, T20 Warm-Up Match Highlights: Canada set a target of 184 runs, But Rain Forces Abandonment
The T20 World Cup warm-up match between Nepal and the United States of America was abandoned due to relentless rain at the Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in Dallas, Texas, on Thursday, May 30, 2024. This was the second warm-up game for both teams, who will now proceed to the tournament proper.
Earlier in the day, USA captain Monank Patel won the toss and elected to bat first against Nepal. However, due to the continuous downpour, no play was possible, and the match was called off without a ball being bowled.

USA’s first preparatory game was also abandoned without a ball being bowled due to thunderstorms and a tornado alert in Texas.
In contrast, Nepal lost their first warm-up fixture against Canada by a significant margin of 63 runs. Chasing a target of 184 runs, Nepal were bowled out for 120 runs in 19.3 overs in Dallas.

In the preliminary stage of the T20 World Cup, Nepal is placed in Group D alongside Sri Lanka, the Netherlands, South Africa, and Bangladesh. The Rohit Paudel-led team will face the Netherlands in their opening match in Texas on June 4.
Hosts USA are in Group A, competing against India, Pakistan, Canada, and Ireland. The United States will start their campaign with the tournament’s inaugural game, playing against Canada in Texas on June 2.
