OMN Vs. AFG Highlights: Rain Disrupts T20 WC Warm-Up Match as Oman Sets Target of 154 Against Afghanistan

Unfortunately, the eagerly awaited T20 World Cup warm-up game, Afghanistan vs. Oman had to be called off overdue because of continuous rain. At Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain, Trinidad, Oman won the toss and chose to field first in the match, which saw them score 154 runs.

Aqib Ilyas, who led the innings with an undefeated 66 runs, Oman’s batsmen exposed an outstanding effort. Alongside, Zeeshan Maqsood, who scored an intense 34 off just 19 balls, provided stable support for his controlled batting.

Besides Maqsood’s combative style, quickly added runs to the game. With the significant contributions of other players, Oman reached a total of 154 for 3 in their assigned 20 overs.

Well, Oman’s strong batting strategy made it difficult for Afghanistan’s bowlers to figure out. Whereas Afghanistan teams were unable to overtake Oman because of their continuous run rate, even with the bad weather. Also, Significant Afghan bowlers made pointless efforts to stop the runs from flowing, before the rain.

Afghanistan was going after a difficult goal, but heavy rain forced the game to be called off, ending any chance for more play.
